June 2010 | In St. Petersburg International Economy forum, the agreement on creation of the joint production of freight and passenger electric locomotives in the Republic of Kazakhstan between JSC “Remlocomotive”, ZAO “Transmashholding” and ALSTOM Transport company had been executed. |
October 2010 | Supply Agreement of the electric locomotives and components was signed between the companies JSC “NC “KTZ”, “EKZ” LLP, ALSTOM Transport and CJSC “Transmashholding”. |
October 2011 - December 2012 | Construction of the plant in the territory of Industrial park, special economic area of “Astana – novyi gorod”. |
December 2012 | Ceremonial opening of electric locomotive assembling plant was carried out by involvement of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, managers of JSC “KTZ”, Alstom, CJSC “Transmashholding” and heads railway administrations of the CIS countries. |
November 2013 | The first freight electric locomotive KZ8A was passed to Customer JSC “Locomotive” for commercial operation. |
February 2016 | The agreement on procurement of the additional share 25% was executed between JSC “KTZ” and ALSTOM Transport in authorized capital of “Electrovoz kurastyru zauyty” LLP. ALSTOM Transport has owned 50% of the authorized capital, each of the companies JSC “NC ‘KTZ” and CJSC “Transmashholding” have owned 25% of the authorized capital. |
| December 2017 | ALSTOM Transport signed an agreement with JSC "KTZ" to acquire its last 25% stake in EKZ. As a result, ALSTOM Transport owns 75% and CJSC "Transmashholding" 25% of the share capital of LLP "Electrovoz kurastytu zauty". |
